Beginning April 1, 2008, Whispers will be hosting a quickie writing contest entitled “Kiss Me, Baby”. The contest is open to all writers published and unpublished.

• Entries should have a minimum of 250 words but should not exceed 500 words and should be double spaced.

• All genres of romance will be accepted.

• Prospective entries should be submitted no later than midnight (12:00 a.m.) EST on JuNE 1, 2008. Entries should consist of a short blurb about your story, the length (or if not complete, the anticipated length), the genre, the setting of the scene (Give us a brief lead-in to your scene if you need to), and your publishing credits (if any).

• Your entry should be in RTF format only and sent as an attachment to your e-mail. Please send your submission to whisperssubmissions@gmail.com with the words kiss me, baby entry in the subject line.

• Your name (both real name and pseudonym if used), address, telephone number, and a valid email address must be included with your query. More information can be found on our submissions page at http://whispershome.com/contests.html .

• Multiple entries will be accepted but must not be from the same book, and each must be entered separately.

The top five entries will be posted on our reader loop to be judged by our readers. The winner will receive a Readers’ Choice Award consisting of a prize graphic, a $5.00 gift certificate to any online bookstore (excluding specific publishers), and their choice of two books published by Whispers Publishing.
